Coral Vessel

A vessel inspired by coral formations along the Algarve coast. The organic texture emerges from the interaction of glazes in the kiln.

In the extreme conditions of the kiln, chemistry and chance converge to make a third glaze that may turn out to be infinitely more beautiful than either of the two. This is what happens in our most intimate relationships: under the extreme pressures of expectation, something reacts with something, each person activating dormant potencies in the other.
